We... women... We... moms

We read in-between lines,
We understand the untold,
We are full-time care takers,
part time sleepers.

We work hard,
But hardly have any fun.
We are always trying to calculate a shortest path
And always on a sprint

We always go by the rule book
Rarely follow our heart.
We bypass our intuitions
Only to later realize they were so correct.

This is how we sail,
Day-by-day-by-day
Maintaining that fine balance
Lest we trip…

WHaT dO U wAnT?

PAUSE AT EVERY LINE AND READ AND RE-READ

Its so important,
       TO
know what you want
as important as it is
        TO
know what you don't want.

If you don't know what you want
then,
you end up getting
what you actually did not want.

Only when you start analyzing
what you have got
that,
you realize that it was not what you wanted.

                                                       So, what do U want?

E-motions

What do u do with emotions?
Brewing within u like
a strong cuppa coffee
Cooling you from the soul
like a glass of lassi
Spicing you up from the heart
like a pani puri
Wiping out your entirety
like a  mouthwash?

What do you do with emotions
that make you do a tight rope walk
that make you sob and sag and hug
that twinkle thru the corner of your eyes
that make you grin like a jack-ass ?

What do you do with emotions ?
What do you do without emotions?
What do you do to your self
with an extra dose of emotions?
What do you to some else
with emotional deficiency?
What do you DO???

More than crossroad

Crying Club

It might just be too harsh to use a title called "Crying Club". But I just wanted to do a comparison between the different types of laughing  V/s crying !

There as many types of crying as many as laughing!! I found this today at my daughter's play school where every kid is crying.

Some who cry silently, sob... sob.. sob, and the teacher may fail to notice them, the other fraction who roll on the floor kick all the furniture around with power-packed punches, yet others who scream their lungs out and bring down the roof, with lots of pride attached, that's like my daughter. And there are others who imitate each type of crying bit-by-bit, like some of the flop Bollywood actors who can't even imitate one particular style properly.

The entire 'Happy Play Home' is currently resembling to a Crying club, the atmosphere is so infectious that even those who have so far been familiar in that school start feeling a lump down their throat.

But all said and done, Kudos to the teachers who have an ocean of patience to calm down each and every kid and talk so lovingly to them.  Hoping that by next week, the club will become a laughter-cum-fun-cum-IwantToGo-club !!!

Aditi @ school...

First day at school
is all fun and play !!!

Second day at school
is not so much fun
but still i play.

Third day at school
No,No,No, I want to go home

Fourth day at school,
i am not happy, but i play

Fifth day at school...
I look forward to it ...
EVERY DAY :-)

Maya's Farewell

07-Mar-2013: It's not until she told me Bye over phone that I realized, she will not be there for the usual morning tea tomorrow. I could not even meet Maya before she left our company as I was busy with a customer issue reproduction.

Thoughtlessly I have spent the entire last week doing all misc. activities - arranging gift, lunch, buying the gift, farewell card. And to top it all, collecting money for the gift from 25 odd people of the team. There were multiple mail threads, and then arranging for the lunch. We go about our day-to-day tasks so mechanically that we don't  even sit back a minute to ponder over what and why we are doing? Now, as I sit to attend the conference call, I am relaxing [ I am not supposed to be doing that] and thinking about Maya.

After having a high-raising career for more than 15 years, bringing up 2 kids, managing varied domestic tasks, today she would be so relaxed today. What would she do tomorrow morning? By practice will she wake up hurriedly, run to check her e-mails, a hurried breakfast and grooming and rush to ... oops to where?

I am blank as I think about retirement or may be even a break. Hmm .. i have a long way to go before reaching there.

All the best wishes to Maya as we bid farewell to her from the company and from the working mom syndrome. We will miss U.

and  A big salute to all women like Maya and a very Happy Woman's day to all women out there!!!
